Arvid Lindblad

Arvid Lindblad is not just the youngest driver on the 2026 Formula 1 grid — he is the only rookie on it, and at 19 years old, one of the youngest drivers to have been handed a full-time seat in the sport's entire history. Born in Virginia Water, Surrey, Lindblad developed rapidly through the European junior single-seater ranks, showing raw pace and a composure markedly beyond his years. After winning the Formula Regional Oceania championship in 2025 and performing strongly in Formula 2, Red Bull's junior programme selected him as the natural successor to Isack Hadjar's Racing Bulls seat for the 2026 season.

His Formula 1 debut at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix was immediately statement-making. Starting in an unfamiliar car at one of the sport's most demanding circuits, Lindblad brought it home in eighth place — scoring points on his very first Grand Prix start and becoming one of the third youngest drivers in F1 history to achieve it. The remainder of the season has been a steep but productive learning curve, with his raw qualifying pace and race management drawing consistent praise from within the Racing Bulls garage.
