Lando Norris

Bristol-born Lando Norris was never a question of if — only when. Arriving in Formula 1 with McLaren in 2019 after one of the most decorated junior careers of his generation, he made himself at home immediately, extracting extraordinary results from a team still finding its way back to competitiveness. He became a regular podium visitor in 2021 and came heartbreakingly close to his maiden win at the Russian Grand Prix that year, leading comfortably before a fateful decision to stay out on slicks in worsening rain ultimately cost him the victory. The 2024 Miami Grand Prix finally delivered his first win, unleashing something ferocious. He pushed Max Verstappen all the way to the title wire that year before delivering a masterful 2025 campaign — seven victories, including a spectacular home win at Silverstone — and clinching the World Drivers' Championship by just two points in a dramatic final round in Abu Dhabi. McLaren's first title since Jenson Button in 2008 was sealed. In 2026, he carries the #1 as defending champion and has already underlined his intent with further victories.
